About Us
“Friends of Bijnor” (FOB) is a group of well-wishers and supporters that supports the developmental activities of the Diocese of Bijnor, situated in the northern part of India, through their psychological, spiritual and material assistance. The diocese of Bijnor is spread across 6 civil districts of Uttarakhand, namely, Pauri-Garhwal, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Haridwar, Uttarkashi and New Tehri and 1 civil district of Uttar Pradesh, namely, Bijnor. The Carmelite Missionaries (CMI) from Kerala, a South Indian state, came to this land in 1972 to spread the good news of love and prosperity. Since then, the work of God is being materialized through the missionary community by means of education, healthcare, sheltering the abandoned, social upliftment programmes and the like.
