Blessing of Pratyasha Rehabilitation Center

World Mental Health Day, October 10th, 2026, witnessed the launching of an epoch making, path breaking, pioneering endeavor not only by the Diocese of Bijnor, but also of the entire Catholic Church in the Northern part of our country i.e. the Blessing of Pratyasha Rehabilitation Centre, Najibabad, in the Bijnore District of Uttar Pradesh. Aptly named as “Pratyasha”, the Centre is expected to be a ray of Hope and a beacon of light for many who are in grip of alcoholism, substance abuse, and mental health issues.

The Blessing ceremony was officiated by Most Rev. Vincent Nellaiparambil, the Bishop of Bijnore, and Most Rev. John Vadakel CMI, Bishop Emeritus, in the presence of a large number of priests, religious, well wishers and friends. It was followed by a thanksgiving Mass and a fellowship meal.

Team Pratyasha places on record its deep sense of indebtedness to all the benefactors, associates, collaborators and well wishers who have contributed their mite directly or indirectly to make this dream come true.

We pray to the Almighty that Pratyasha may soar high and become a bench mark, a centre of excellence in the field of rehabilitation and promotion of mental health.
